A Late Start to 2025

After a little tidying-up in late April and Early May, I planted some spinach and covered the seedlings to keep the pigeons off. Apparently they are very fond of young spinach plants.

The garlic grew well over the winter, but would probably have done better if I'd kept the weeds out. It's hardly worth the effort now as I will be lifting the garlic very soon.

The Borage plants are in. I was impressed last year by the high number of bees it attracted. Pollinators galore.

I put a few Brussels Sprouts in, but I may have planted them before the plants were strong enough. We'll see.
